Paul Zlattinger (*1997) is a Vienna-based violinist, composer, and improvising musician. His work lies at the intersection of experimental and improvised music, jazz, avant-garde, and film music. Alongside collaborations with a wide range of artists, he focuses on his main projects SquarEars, 3HOKB, Poetry of Paradox, and Pj and the Cs. Zlattinger studied Jazz at the Gustav Mahler Private University in Klagenfurt and at ArtEZ in Arnhem, Netherlands.
In his musical practice, Paul Zlattinger explores soundscapes oscillating between absurdity, pulsating energy, and fragile delicacy. Cinematic soundscapes intersect with wonky beats and, at times, disturbing passages that challenge expectations, captivate, and mesmerize.
